International Festival of Santa Lucia

Art as a promoter of Sustainable Development

Millions of people participate in the Santa Lucia International Festival, which represents a great opportunity to raise awareness among the population for the care of our planet.

The project consists of developing the skills of the team that makes up the FISL organising committee and collaborating together to design and implement a plan in accordance with the British Council's Manual for the management of sustainable festivals in the short and medium term.

The first step is to carry out a survey of indicators to identify all sources of input and output. By having accurate data we will be more efficient in implementing the actions and strategies of the British Council's Sustainable Festival Management Handbook in the long term.

In addition to the above our legacy will be to set a precedent for more events in the state to follow in the footsteps of FISL in terms of sustainable organization and thus promote new niches of work, strengthen the quality of local jobs and contribute to the economy of sustainable products and services in the industry.
