Trópico Festival

Design, installation and commissioning of drinking fountain for the festival

Trópico is a three-day festival in Acapulco that offers a celebration through music, design, fashion, craft projects, pools, discos, swimwear, sand, sea, cocktails, coastal food and lots of fun.

One of the best festivals in Mexico hired us to be in charge of hydrating the public by installing and setting up a drinking fountain that provides safe and clean water. This is the beginning of the trend for festivals to offer the precious liquid free of charge, a true sign of their commitment to sustainability.

Total water served 8,620 L which avoids the equivalent of 431 returnable bottles of drinking water or 24,281 single-use 355 ml water bottles.

The system installed consisted of a storage space with a capacity of 5,500 litres, which feeds a drinking fountain with 6 stopcocks. All water was sourced from local water pipe suppliers, and was filtered through a three-step system (Sediment, BioBarrier, Carbon + Silver) before being made available to the public.
